Hero Radio Is Not Shutting Down-CEO West Says

The CEO of Hero Radio, Sam 'West' Gitonga has come out to refute claims that the station has shut down. This comes after a memo circulating online alleged that the management had decided to close down the station in what they termed as "the tide has proven to be stronger than us. We wish to announce that we are with immediate effect halting all your services as we shut down to strategise on our next move,” the statement read in part.

In the statement, management thanked its fans for their “undying love and support” adding “In every journey, there must be stopovers. Unfortunately, Hero Radio has come to one. We have decided to break so many beautiful hearts who have worked tirelessly to ensure we remain afloat."

Now the CEO has come out to rubbish the memo terming it as "fake" adding that they are re-branding and will launch new products as well.

Sam West said in an official statement, "It has come to our attention that a fake memo purported to he from Hero Radio has been making rounds on social media. The fake Memo has not been signed or authorized by the Management. We would like to let our audience know that Hero Radio is not closing shop and neither are we sacking our loyal dedicated staff members.

He continued, "We are in the process of rebranding. We have a new state of art studio, which will be launched on September 1, 2017 at our premises in Naka, Nakuru. New talents, exciting visual content and a new website are set to be launched then."
